Vision & Quality Policy

Town Planning department is committed to implement the Development Plan of city as per M.R.&T.P. Act, 1966 and B.P.M.C Act 1949. Govt. of Maharashtra has sanctioned the Development Plan of Ulhasnagar city in the year 1976 and 1980 respectively. Revised draft development plan for U.M.C. area is expected to be sanctioned by Govt. of Maharashtra in due course.

Working and acting in such a manner that all services rendered lead to efficiency, improved credibility and enhanced image of the Corporation.

Functions of Department

The duties and functions pertaining to town planning are to prepare regional plans, development plans and town planning schemes; to render assistance to the municipal authorities in the preparation of development plans and town planning schemes; to carry out surveys, prepare existing land-use-plans and development plans; to advise and prepare town development, improvement, extension and slum clearance schemes under the Municipal Acts.
